The leaders of the participating countries emphasized in the communique that we are gathered together in the moment when the world economic opportunities and challenges coexist and the world is undergoing rapid and profound changes. We reiterate that strengthening multilateralism is critical to global challenges. We believe that building an open, inclusive, linked, sustainable and people-centred world economy will help promote common prosperity.
The communique pointed out that as a partner, we appreciate the progress and important opportunities for cooperation in the “Belt and Road” cooperation, especially in the development of policy docking, infrastructure investment, economic corridors, economic and trade cooperation zones, industrial parks, financial and trade cooperation, and innovation. Cooperation results in the fields of technology, maritime cooperation, business contacts, and humanities exchanges. These cooperation have opened up new impetus for economic growth, added new potential for economic and social development of all countries, and contributed to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Looking forward to the future, the communique said that we will build a “one belt, one road” for high quality, and promote policy communication, facility connectivity, trade smoothness, capital finance and people's hearts, strengthen inter-connectivity, deepen pragmatic cooperation and enhance the well-being of people of all countries.
